Location: 2 Blast Furnace Park Road, Lithgow NSW 2790

Brief Overview

The Lithgow Blast Furnace Specialised Lighting project, Phase 2, was developed by Lithgow City Council to enhance one of the region’s most iconic heritage landmarks.

A popular site for locals and tourists, and the centrepiece of the annual LithGlow festival, the project aimed to transform the ruins with a dynamic lighting system that brings history to life after dark. Designed by FireFly Point of View, the lighting concept offers immersive displays that elevate the site’s historic value.

As Jonny put it, “A great challenging project that highlights Australia’s history in a modern format”—blending heritage with innovation.

These were integrated with a Philips Dynalite control system, incorporating DALI and DMX lighting drivers to enable intricate, programmable light shows.
